First Aid
Jim hurt his knee the other day and decided to try a pad that you heat in the microwave to ease the discomfort. Jazz was thrilled with the heated pad and spent the evening lying on it (and Jim's sore knee). I'm not sure how much it helped Jim's knee, but Jazz enjoyed a warm, cozy evening!
Congrats, Tess!
Tess qualified in five out of eight runs this weekend at the CPE agility trial in Washingtonville, OH, and completed her Fun Games Level 1 title. Way to go, Tess!
Jazz also did great at the agility trial, literally meeting hundreds of new people and dogs. As you can see from this picture, she handled the hectic trial environment quite well!

Snow Day
Today brought the most significant snow we've had since Jazz arrived. It was a challenge to get Jazz to do what she needed to do on our trips outside, because she wanted to play in the snow with Tess! We did take the girls out to play in the back yard and they ran around for a few minutes, but Jazz became chilled rather quickly in the several inches of snow and we came back inside to get warm, as you can see below.

Socialize, Socialize, Socialize!
Everyone knows that you need to socialize puppies and let them experience new environments, but the bowling alley? You betcha! Jazz got to visit with the folks on Jim's bowling league this evening. She was a bit intimidated by the noise initially, but after some praise and treats, she thought the bowling alley was a great place!
Jazz got to meet lots of new people and was quite interested in the workings of the soda machine! It's amazing how the things we take for granted are so fascinating to puppies.
Jazz enjoyed her adventure at the bowling alley. Not only did she become quite comfortable with her surroundings, but she fell fast asleep, ending her adventure in true Jazz style!

Kids and Dogs
Every month, Splash 'n Dash K9 Sports holds a Kids and Dogs class which Tess has been attending with our nephew Brady. This month, Jazz came along for some good socialization, and her brothers Pete and Geno were there as well. The puppies met lots of new people and dogs and had a wonderful time playing with each other...just like old times!!
One of the dogs the Dal puppies met was Schatzie, a Leonberger puppy. Despite his size, Schatzie is only six months old! As you can see, he was a good sport about letting the puppies get to know him.
Once we returned from Kids and Dogs class, Brady and the girls decided to take an afternoon nap. Jazz was happy to cuddle with her new buddy Brady!
